Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Serena Scott

Serena has over 20 years of experience treating musculoskeletal, sports injuries and post operative clients. Her empathy and ability to relate allows her to communicate with patients so they have a clear understanding of their condition and expectations of the pathway to recovery.

She prides herself on providing a thorough assessment, diagnosis and personalized treatment program to facilitate recovery.

Serena uses manual therapy, myofascial release and exercise prescription with her clients.

Serena enjoys tramping with her family and getting into the garden.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Bastiaan Paanakker

The founder of our clinic over 30 years ago. Bastiaan is an expert in developing strong patient/therapist relationships and utilises a multi faceted approach to treatment to enable restoration of function and minimise pain.

In his spare time Bastiaan enjoys playing golf, fishing and spending quality family time with his wife Kate and his two boys Ben and Luke.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Callum Stickland

Callum graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Physiotherapy in 2023. He has a strong interest in sports physiotherapy, having already gained experience in football, rugby, and rugby league settings, namely working with Tangaroa College rugby, Buckland Beach football club, and Niue rugby league.

Callum is currently is placed at the Sacred Heart College and works with their 1st XV rugby team.

BPhyt & Master of Health Practice

Cam Simmiss

Cam has over 15 years experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy and sport and exercise science.

Cam takes a special interest in chronic pain issues, complex presentations and sports injuries, having worked with Manu Samoa rugby, Cook Islands 7s, and Auckland Rugby.

Cam enjoys playing golf, watching sport, and spending time with friends and family.

Community Involvement

Meadowbank Physio has proudly built a strong connection with the local community, particularly through its role as the trusted physiotherapy provider for Sacred Heart College.

For over a decade, Cam Simmiss dedicated his time to supporting the school's First XV rugby team and delivering exceptional care to its students. That legacy now continues with Callum, who has taken over the role and is committed to providing the same high standard of care and support for the team.
